Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Atomic Web Design ("Atomic", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are

Atomic Web Design, Company No. 15603201, based in Brighton & Hove, UK, is the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can contact us athello@atomicweb-design.co.ukfor anything relating to your data.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. This happens in one place: the enquiry form on our Contact page. When you submit it, we receive:

  • Your name
  • Your business name (optional)
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • The details of your enquiry, in whatever you write in the message field

If you email or call us directly instead, we'll hold whatever information is contained in that conversation on the same basis described below.

How we use your information

We use enquiry details only to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation about your project
  • Prepare a proposal or quote if you'd like to go ahead
  • Deliver the agreed work and provide support if you become a client
  • Keep records we're legally required to keep, such as invoices, for tax purposes

The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, and (where you become a client) the steps necessary to enter into and perform a contract with you. We do not use your details for marketing emails, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party services to run this website and process enquiries. They only see what's necessary to provide that service, and are bound by their own privacy and data protection obligations:

  • Netlify — hosts this website and processes enquiry form submissions on our behalf.
  • Google Fonts — this site loads typefaces from Google's servers, which may log your IP address as part of that request.

We don't share your enquiry details with any other third party unless we're required to by law.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry doesn't turn into a project, we keep your details for up to 12 months in case you get back in touch, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep project-related information for the duration of the project plus up to 6 years afterwards, in line with UK requirements for financial record-keeping. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see "Your rights" below.

Cookies

This site currently uses only strictly necessary cookies required for it to function — we don't run analytics or advertising cookies. See ourCookie Policy for details, and for what would change if that ever changes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask what information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use it
  • Ask for your information in a portable format

To exercise any of these, emailhello@atomicweb-design.co.uk. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) atico.org.uk.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information you share with us against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool or service. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
